Hostal El Cairo in the heart of town was a great find for our pilgrimage to Santiago. the friendly hostelero provided us with a Camino Inglés credenciál, route map, and a guide, making our journey even more memorable. the room had a shared terrace overlooking the street, and the fast WiFi was a bonus. Carlos, the host, was extremely helpful, answering our questions and providing tourist information. Being just 500m from the tourist office and the start of the Camino was very convenient.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.

The host was really friendly and helpful, giving me tourist information for my city trip. The location was great, close to the tourist office and start of the Camino. The room had fast WiFi and a nice terrace with a laundry sink.
If you're a light sleeper, be aware that the walls are thin and you can hear everything. There is also a loud clock that chimes every half hour.

I scored a great deal with Hostal El Cairo! The room was small but had everything I needed and was spotlessly clean. The beds were amazingly comfy too. The location was perfect for exploring the city and starting my Camino Inglés. Carlos, the host, was helpful with tourist information and made communication easy.
Breakfast delights could use some improvement. But no worries, there are plenty of nice and affordable coffee bistros nearby.

We had a lovely stay at a simple, clean place in a great location. The bed was super comfy and the room had everything we needed. The host was helpful, providing us with tourist information and even a town map in our room. The fast WiFi and laundry sink on the terrace were also a nice touch. Despite the stairs and the slight inconvenience of a 15-minute walk to the bus and train station, we would definitely recommend this hotel. it was a great value and perfect for those starting the Camino Inglés pilgrimage.
